	141. "You know that Car Talk article about that couple that fell in love because of his Pacer? Well, this is that Pacer. Its name is Zippy, as stated in the article, and Bud and Bobbie are really interesting people. At the swapmeet, they offered to buy the factory console straight out of Emily for $75. I said no. I like my console. I may sell it now, however, as I'm scratchbuilding a new one for it. This photo was taken at Andy's Drive-In, where much AMC iron was displayed during the KTHF." -Tim Hansen
	142. "Here's a shot of my Pacer wagon. I was able (at great personal expense) to save this brown wagon from an Austin dealer selling it to a certain death in a Mexican junkyard. It was worth every penny, though... It is the most fun car I've ever had!" -Laird "PacerFox" Wetzel
	143. "Check out this wild custom! It's a Pacer with the nose and tail of a '50 Ford! Slick! I got these photos from a gentleman in Arizona who I'm considering buying a mint '74 Matador and a 24' car trailer from. He's throwing in a FREE Pacer. I don't think it runs. Probably will just be a good parts car." -Tim Hansen
	144. From the snailmail bag: "In November of 1997, my beloved Pacer came into my life. I had been looking for one for about 2 years, and I had found three, but they were either [priced] too high or too rusty. "I was driving through a town ten miles south of here, and I saw one sitting in the Public Housing Developments with a cardboard 'For Sale' sign on it. I [stopped], and an old woman with a wad of chewing tobacco in her lip answered the door. I asked 'how much for the Pacer?', and after a spit, she told me $400. I then [asked her] how she would like to own a car about 10 years newer instead of taking cash. So I went home and brought back a silver '85 Chevette. In other words, I now own a Pacer. "It was in pretty sad shape. I've put in new carpet, tires, patched up the door panels, painted all of the interior trim, buffed the outside, and countless other things and troubles. I've since joined the Pacer Club, and I also run the AMC Matador Barcelona Registry through AMO." -Keith Bryson Keith's Pacer "Flo" is a 1977 D/L coupe in Captain Blue Metallic, light blue interior. It's an automatic with power steering, power brakes, an 8-track player, A/C, automatic running lamps, a roof rack, basketry-weave seats with blue trim, and buttercup wheels. Keith also owns a 1977 Matador Barcelona coupe. The pictures to the left are Keith's Pacer and the awesome envelope in which he sent me the pictures and letter. Unfortunately, my mom, who was forwarding me my mail at the time, defaced it slightly.
	145. "This red Pacer was for sale at the Spring 1999 Jefferson swap meets in Jefferson, WI. Also the home of AMC mega-enthusiast Mike Spangler, Jefferson is a hotbed of AMC activity, and a Pacer or two routinely shows up at the swap meets." -Tim Hansen

	147. "Here are some more from my visit with Brandon Ankeny in Blue Earth, MN. This one is the car that got him hooked on Pacers, a fully optioned '76 Coupe." -Tim Hansen
	148. "My wife and I are retired and we both owned Pacer Wagons [in a former life] over a decade ago. "For the last 6 months or so we have been searching out another Pacer to restore, and 2 months ago, we found it. Not a bargain, but a low mileage minimal rust beauty. "We have done all the mechanicals [springs, shocks, brakes, and then body work and painting.. I have included a photo, and once I have loaded them to my site, I will join the web ring so I can brag..[g] "If you can make to Ocean Shores on the Olympic Peninsula at the end of July, I would be pleased to meet you. This will be my first 'showing' of our 1975 Pacer 232 I6, Auto. It still has some details missing, but we are happy with it. I moved out here [when I retired, and to get married] from the Toronto area, 6 years ago.. and haven't regretted it." -Charles Patterson Editor's Note: I did, in fact meet Charles and Pat at the Ocean Shores meet, which is where I found Pacer #2!
